Underlayment for hay stacks is designed to be used where separation of the hay from the ground moisture and contaminants is necessary to keep the hay stack in premium condition for sale or use at a later date. Inland Tarp & Liner, Inc. offers a tested bottom bale protection system that works well when it is used correctly in the right environment. Be sure and always stack on an elevated stack pad so the moisture runs away from the stack. Hay growers utilize a underlayment that is about six feet wider than the hay stack. This allows the fabric to tuck up on both sides about three feet. A Side Curtain typically comes down over the underlayment and is anchored in place by tying the Performer hay tarps to anchor straps that are positioned under the stack.
